The local teachers are paid 35,000 CFA by the Village Management and Development Project (PADV) to teach 20 adult women in the village. The lessons are in Wolof and the objective is to give women the basic reading and writing skills necessary to manage their groups income-generating activities. The classes start at 3:00 pm to allow women to attend after their daily chores. |
