Assane Ndaw, 40, President of the local womens cooperative in Ndiambor village, Koki zone, Senegal. The cooperative has been operating for 4 years. Household food security and nutrition have improved for the members families. They dont need to buy vegetables anymore, they have them here. They also sell a large portion of the products and harvest in surrounding villages. Sometimes, people come directly to the plots to buy vegetables, not only because vegetables are cheaper here, but also because people do not always have the opportunity to buy food and vegetables in their own villages. |
