The media tour led by US Ambassador before the UN agencies in Rome Cindy McCain visited Cafeeza Cofee Cooperative in La Esperanza, Intibuca Department, Honduras. USAID identified and selected CAFEEZA to receive technical assistance and training on producing and processing quality coffee. IFAD-funded PROLENCA Project funded environmentally friendly technologies to implement these learnings. This resulted in improved profitability in the coffee production chain, employment generation, increased quality of life of the producers, and reduction of environmental impact.
