Colombia - Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility grant - Dec 2018
Description:
Luz Trujillo, president of Asociación para el Futuro con manos de Mujer (ASFUMUJER) , cooks a chicken soup, using food that she has raised herself in the village of Camino Real. (it was, quite literally, some of the best soup I have ever had in my life!!) "One reason it's important to have an organization led by women is because we do more work than the men!" she says. The Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF) has awarded a grant to the Climate change adaptation and food security for indigenous communities in Natagaima Tolima project (RENACER), which works with the Pijao-Natagaima indigenous peoples group.
