IFAD Participatory Integrated Watershed-Management Project (PIWAMP) aims to empower small-scale producers. Most farmers in Gambia cultivate groundnuts, both for food and for cash. Rice is a staple food, but Gambian farmers do not produce enough rice to meet all domestic requirements.
