Title: | Senegal - Village Management and Development Project (PADV) - May 2008 |
Description: |
Members of the local herders organization (ASUFOR) bring cattle to a watering point in Deck Vote village, Louga, Senegal. "The Village Management and Development Project (PADV) has changed a lot of things. Before it started, herders used a tank that provided water. It took a lot of time to have the amount of time necessary to have enough water for all cattle. Now, with water tanks herders come and bring all the cattle to the same watering point. The household water carts collect water at a separate place and there is enough water for everyone", says Sileye Kâ, President of ASUFOR herders organization. |
