Cocoa farmers Jowelia Seguya and her husband Kato Mozcsenyonyo received $500 first loan to start up seedling business five years ago in Zirobwe village. They lend seedlings and receive money later from clients. “If weather conditions are good, we can make a lot of money, we use water cans to hand irrigate, if it rains, it goes better. We would need a water pump to irrigate better or a water tank, that would be good. We were able to pay our children’s school fees with the profit made.” Says Kato. |
