|Title:||Bangladesh - Aquaculture Development Project - October 2002|
Fishermen begin their work at dawn in Dhopadanga Boar, Bangladesh.
Access and rights to bodies of water have been a primary obstacle for rural communities and fishing groups. The Aquaculture Development Project seeks to alleviate the pressures of rural communities by encouraging the government to lease bodies of water. Through direct access, fishing groups are able to maximize their earning potential while increasing food security.
