| Description: | The 38th session of IFAD's Governing Council will convene on Monday and Tuesday, 16-17 February, with a focus on rural transformation as a key to sustainable development. This year's session features distinguished keynote speakers including His Majesty Tupou VI, King of Tonga; His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana; and His Excellency Pier Carlo Padoan, Minister for Economy and Finance of the Italian Republic.
