Description: Chang Yu Gang, 62, 3 children and 3 grandchildren, is a veterinarian and livestock technician in Wasu Mu village. He serves as a point of reference for livestock owners in the village. He provides vaccination and animal health training to livestock owners. He also visits farmers to provide advise and vaccinations as needed.

Chang has 40 years of experience as a veterinarian and now works part-time for the Bureau of Livestock. He is quite busy in the spring when sheep are being born and vaccinated. He also uses and dispenses both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). He uses TCM to treat chronic diseases, stomach problems and joint pain. He uses western medicine to treat worms, and emergencies such as infection or fever.

Chang’s children have all gone to college. His oldest son is a veterinarian in another town. His younger son works for the electric company in the city and his daughter is working in Beijing.
