Title: | Burkina Faso - Rural Microenterprise Support Project - March 2007 |
Description: |
Rose Ilboudo Koudougow, 34, weaves material on a loom in Tenkodogo, Burkina Faso. Supported by IFAD, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, PAMER (Projet d'Appui aux Micro Entreprises Rurales) provides farmers with training and support to develop micro-enterprises in rural areas of Burkina Faso. Rose Ilboudo Koudougow runs a weaving and cloth making business. "I had my first training session with PAMER in 2003. I was very keen to take part in PAMER's training sessions so I could learn more about marketing and management. They also offer to market my products for me and to put me in contact with customers. They also support me to bring my products to trade fairs, which help to generate business. The training helped me to improve the quality of my products and they assisted me to get a new machine so I could increase my output. This means I make more profit and with this the living conditions for my family and me have improved. |
