Ednalva is a mother of six children and began working at the cooperative where they produce the cassava flour. She also is an artisenal craftmaker. She says the job at the cooperative helps buy other foods they cannot grow. Although she receives Bolsa Familia, the family welfare program, they also breed chickens and grow beans and corn.
