Ecotourist site in Pasirpanjang village on Lembeh Island, North Sulawesi. There is a beach, bathrooms and a boating dock. Maya Ander is the community organizer. "I organize and monitor the community group to build and maintain the site. Every Friday we clean this area with members of the group and the government. Ten fishermen from the village form the group. Around 200 local people come tot he site on Saturday and Sunday."
The overall goal of the project is reduction in poverty and enhanced economic growth for poor but active coastal and small island communities. The development objective is increased household incomes for families involved in fisheries and marine activities in the target communities.
