Title: Indonesia - Coastal Community Development Project (CCDP) November 2015
Description: Holy Muhaling, 49, is a women's cooperative leader in Mawali village, Lembeh Island, North Sulawesi. The women make fried fish snacks in their food lab. Their products are sold at their refreshment stand, to local schools and in stores in Bitung City, North Sulawesi.

"Before I joined the group, I sold simple snacks like fired banana. I had no skills at all. After several training modules from the project I learned to make snacks and fish balls. All members take part in production. My husband is very supportive of me."

The overall goal of the project is reduction in poverty and enhanced economic growth for poor but active coastal and small island communities. The development objective is increased household incomes for families involved in fisheries and marine activities in the target communities.
