Chapania village_ Mc Donald Chipaka feeds his chickens. My name is Mc Donald Chipaka, I’m married and I have 3 children. I’m a farmer, I grow maize, beans and peanuts and I keep chickens, goats and pigs. Most part of what I produce is for my family if there is something left I sell it to my neighbours. Applying conservation agriculture I need to work less in my fields as covering the soil unwanted grass disappear and I don’t need to keep the soil clean. In the future I want to share the knowledge I’ve got from the project with my neighbours. The main challenge I face is the lack of rain due the climate change. For my children I want they complete their studies until university so they can help me when I will be old. |
