Kenneth Onyeukew 42yrs, working in his oil mill.Kenneth Onyeukew is married with three children and belongs to CADA cooperative one of the beneficiaries of IFAD-RUFIN project in Umuezike Efeme Umuiaha-north, Abia state.Before IFAD’s interventions Kenneth was farming on two hectares rice farm and running a small oil processor mill with intensive manual labor. It was a difficult task then with less output. Today, thanks to IFAD’s support, it is not the same case for Kenneth and members of his cooperatives. Through IFAD They were given several trainings on best agriculture practices, business management, bookkeeping and funds to setup a mechanized oil mill that has boast there daily output from 1 tons to 10tons. Money he earned of an increased output from the oil mill has been invested in boasting his rice cultivation to about 10hactres and a venture in bus transportation.He hopes for his cooperative to expand more and setting up oil palm estate and engaging in exporting the palm oil produce abroad.I thank God of IFAD and oil mill and other traning we 1 tone a day 10 to 11 tons daily.
