Godwin, 30yrs is a poultry farmer.He got introduced to poultry farming by a friend in 2007 when he was in search for employment and began with 100 broilers in a mud built pen.In 2010 in got in contact of IFAD an was able to get their support to be trained on improved method of poultry farming and business management at the Songhai Farm cum training centre, Bunu Tai, Rivers State. Impressed by his training in Songhai farm he returned with determination to improve his poultry farm and with the fund support of IFAD he expanded his poultry and now breeds between 900-3000 chickens with about 5pens. |
