IFAD has given funding to pay farmers to prune and fertilize the trees as well as provide pesticides for one year. After the trees are pruned, the olives are collected on large mats, sorted, and packaged for sale. IFAD's projects in Jordan focus on improving agricultural and livestock production in addition to supporting rural microfinance services. |
