View of the Hafira earth dam which collects rainwater in Jordan. The dam collects 45000 cubic meters of rainwater per year when it rains. Farmers come and collect the water with pumps and tanks generally from April to August. The dam benefits 3 villages. The water is used for sheep and goats. Through the promotion of conservation and sustainable resource management, the Agricultural Resource Management Project works with rural communities to improve food and water security. |
