Title: | India - Convergence of Agricultural Interventions in Maharashtra’s Distressed Districts Project (CAIM) – August 2014 |
Description: |
In Nimla village, a farmer’s cooperative has set up a farm implementation bank and training center. Farmers can borrow equipment to save on labor and improve crop output. The lentil separator or “dal mill” which separates lentils from pebbles and debris, can process the same amount of lentils in five minutes which would normally take a woman all day. They also provide organic fertilizer and other inputs. |
