Description: photograph by XAVIER CERVERA / PANOS for IFAD 21/07/2017 This Building Rural Entrepreneurial Capacities - Trust and Opportunities Programme is broad in scope, aiming to tackle problems of inequalitiy and poverty in rural financial servicies. Its target group is composed of (aprox) 50,000 rural households living in extreme poverty across 17 departments in Colombia. Among these are small farmers ,indigenous groups, Afro-Latino communities, rural young people, families who have been forcibly displaced and households headed by women. The overall goal of the programme is to improve living conditions, income and employment in post-conflict rural areas.
Guapi municipality, in Cauca department, Colombia, has 26 groups, every group with (aprox) 15 people. Fabian Acosta, Zoilo Salazar and Aurelio Gamboa from Ministerio de Agricultura de Colombia are taking care of them
Pictured the group Agricultores Respaldados por Dios (Agriculture (people) back (supported) by God) with their caws Canela (brown one), Princesa y Lucero. They give milk, and in the future, meat. IFAD group are building the proper place for caws to stay, in vereda (area) of Las Sabanas
