September 4th, 2017. Hounve, Benin Republic.Robert Hounjo 54years is an old palm farmer with 17 children 4 wives. Palm oil nuts being sorted from for processing at Robert oil mill in Hounve. When he began farming 15years ago it was very tedious and was only able to make an annual production output of 15tonnes of maize and 20tonnes of cassava because he was working solely and lacked resources to hire workers to assist him.Things changed for good when he came in contact with ASF and was offered a one million CFA initial loan that made it possible for him to expand on his land cultivation and hired workers to assist him. Also, Robert has benefited from ASF training on business management and best agriculture practice. He has recently ordered an oil mill processing machinery worth 15million CFA in which ASF offered him a 50% loan to cover the cost of this order. With the profit from his farming business, he has been able to acquire a car, take care of his children education and family needs.He hopes to get a big truck so he could be able to transport his products around his town and beyond. |
