Nergui, 37, (blue sweater), two children, in front of his household. Nergui is a member of a herders group. Ten households belong to the group. There are approximately 33 herder groups in the soum. There is an average of 400 livestock (mixed) per group. Before forming the group some of the households were poor, now all have an average income. The group activities include creating fences and pens for livestock, shearing goats and sheep and selling raw materials to market. Before becoming a group, each household was doing own job and moving from summer to winter camps, now we save time and energy making hay together and working together. |
