| Description: | Nguyen Ngoc Lanh, 67 yr, who is the leader of a SRDP supported bee-breeding community group, inspects a bee-house container at their apiary, inside his house compound in Nam Kim Sen village, Truong Xuan commune, Quang Ninh district, central Vietnam, November 6, 2017. In the past, Nguyen was only breeding bees for family-usage on a much smaller scale but since the SRDP project's support in March 2016 which provided not only equipments such as containers, but also with trainings, honey bottle making, etc., the group led by Nguyen now have an apiary of 60 bee-houses and better technical knowledge resulting in the sale of over 200 bottles of honey at about 250000 Vietnamese Dong (about 9 eur) per bottle the beginning of this year. ©IFAD/Minzayar Oo/Panos |
