Title: Vietnam - Sustainable Rural Development for the Poor Project in Ha Tinh and Quang Binh Provinces (SRDP) - November 2017

About 10 years ago when her father-in-law suffered from Lymphomas, a neighbour told them about the Linzhi mushroom drink, a type of fungus which could help cure the father's disease. To provide all the mushroom they needed for the father's health and for the family, Ngo Thi Kim Lien and her husband started planting mushrooms at their home, which became a small family business with 3 or 4 workers. In early 2016, they founded the company Tuan Linh clean mushroom production and cooperative with his wife as the operation manager, producing different types of mushrooms and also selling mushroom grow kits to the farmer groups, enabling low-income households to grow mushrooms close to their house and earn extra income. In the beginning of 2017, they received a financial support of 1.9 billion Vietnamese Dong (about 850000 usd) [[NOTE: AMOUNT TO BE DOUBLE-CHECKED]] which was used to buy trucks and machines, equipments, building warehouse, and the training off the workers and staff amont other usages. Their production area also expanded and the revenues more than doubled. In turn, they are using the money to train more staff with higher techniques, to acquire higher technology, better machines and infrastructure.
