| Description: | Villagers using a road that was built by the SRDP project, in Ong Tu village, Trong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district, central Vietnam, November 9, 2017. Ho Thi Man (right), 62yr and Ho Thi Bun, 52 yr are farmers of Khua ethnic who are now using the new road everyday to get to the other side of the village and the commune. "Before the road, we had to make our own way through the bushes up and down the hills to fish in the river, to cross the river and go to the market to sell our bananas, coconuts, etc.. It used to take two hours for the journey but thanks to whoever built this road, we can now make it there in much lesser time or just get on a motor-bike!", says Ho Thi Man who came back from fishing in the river. ©IFAD/Minzayar Oo/Panos |
