Fatima Abumarim, 18, can accessing clean drinking water from a tap in her home, Azal village, Morocco. In the remote Berber village of Azal, at 2730 metres and perched on the side of a mountain, clean drinking water is a recent iprovement to daily life. The tiny village is inhabited exclusively by members of teh Abumarim family. A pump and reservior system (that stores up to 20 tons of water) have been put in place by the Rural Development Project in the Moutnain Zones of Al Haouz Province. In addition, a purifying system has been installed so that they may enjoy clean drinking water from a tap in their home. Azal village is located just on the outskirts of Talat N'Yacoub, Morocco. |
