Olga Osjo Palomino, 28, (center) and Gregorio Palomino have received training from the initiative Management of Natural Resources in the Southern Highlands (MARENASS) to improve their crops, Peru. Now they build terraces, cultivate corn and potatoes in rows, sell their surplus products in the local market, and share their expertise with a local group called Corazón de Jesu?s. IFAD's country strategy in Peru aims to improve upon land and productive areas in order to increase food security and agricultural output. The project also endeavours to promote community leadership and community-led development initiatives. |
