Luz Trujillo, president of Asociación para el Futuro con manos de Mujer (ASFUMUJER) , with the Rio Magdalena valley and foothills of the Cordillera Oriental behind her. She is 60 years old and just recently completed her secondary school education, which she was forced to abandon when she was 14. She hopes to continue her studies in the field of Forestry. The Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility (IPAF) has awarded a grant to the Climate change adaptation and food security for indigenous communities in Natagaima Tolima project (RENACER), which works with the Pijao-Natagaima indigenous peoples group.
