Pucaccasa Agricultural Producers Association brings together 30 people from the town of Pazos in the province of Tayacaja, in the department of Huancavelica, in the mountains of Peru’s central sierra. They have built and equipped, thanks to Proyecto Sierra y Selva Alta (PSSA) support, a potato processing plant. Some of the association's members work for it as operators of the plan for a salary of 950 soles (just over 300 dollars) per month. All of the 30 members benefit from a sustancial raise in income. |
