Ángel Sedano is what rural development experts call a local talent, a person with a special head for rural business and agricultural development opportunities. He started growing avocados in the lowlands of Pichos, Tayacaja Province, Huancavelica Department, in Central Andres, 14 years ago, when nobody had even thought of that possibility. He observed how people did it on the coastal Ica department, bought some avocado seedlings, transported them along more than 500 kilometers to this mountain town and planted them. Now, with the support of PDTS - Sustainable Territorial Development Project -, he and his partners at VALLE DEL PARAÍSO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCERS ASSOCIATION plan to make a huge improvement of the plantation, improving their harvests and their income.
