|Title:||Milk production improvement in Peru's Central Sierra|
The Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn) Producers Association in Pichos, Tayacaja province, Huancavelica department, is receiving support from the SUSTAINABLE TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (PDTS) to improve food security and income for the 30 members of the association by buying cows of Brown Swiss breed, whose average milk production is much higher than that of the Creole cattle they had.
The visit took place in December 2018, when they had just bought the cows and gotten them pregnant for the first time.
