IFAD has been investing in development initiatives in Yemen since 1979. The empowerment of rural communities is a primary focus of the Tihama Environment Protection Project which was initiated in 1995. Credit distributed by the project enables women to increase the productivity of their livestock which contributes to the overall objective of reducing poverty in rural communities. |
