| Description: | A student of Mukurwe-ini Technical Training Institute carries a weeding hand hoe after work in the farm in Mukurweini, Nyeri County, Kenya. The institute, through the roof water harvesting project, supported by IFAD, has been able to harvest sufficient water, through the use of water gutters and reservoir tanks to start small-scale farming of vegetables that goes towards supplementing the student’s dietary. It has also improved general hygiene for over 1,200 students and staff where toilets and showers have full running water throughout the year. |
