I work here at the Jam making unit a few weeks most months which supplements my income and allows me to look after the house.” We grow vegetables mostly in my family but there are a lot of wild pigs that destroy our crops in this area so the cooperative had put up chain links fences which helped. So i would say being part of the collective and working at the agro processing unit has been very good for me “ The women make jam, chutneys, achar , juice from the local produce which then gets sold through Hilans and other shops in the region. |
