Members of the Inter-Village Development Association (AIVD) walk through an area where they have carried out mangrove reforestation activities in Dassilamé Sérère. Mangroves are an important source for fishery and forestry for the people of the village. The aim of PARFA is to sustainably improve the food security and income of small-scale producers – including both farmers and herders – and create remunerative, sustainable jobs in rural communities. It focuses on expanding the access of smallholders and their organizations to effective services and production infrastructure, appropriate technologies and markets. |
