Title: | Senegal - Agricultural Value Chains Resilience Support Project (PARFA) - July 2021 |
Description: |
While oyster cultivation is a key source of income for the members of the Inter-Village Development Association (AIVD), they also cultivate and prepare clams to sell. The clams are being placed out to dry on a table which is then covered with a net to keep away flies and other insects. The aim of PARFA is to sustainably improve the food security and income of small-scale producers – including both farmers and herders – and create remunerative, sustainable jobs in rural communities. It focuses on expanding the access of smallholders and their organizations to effective services and production infrastructure, appropriate technologies and markets. |
