Ana Maribel Arriaga is a 40-year-old entrepreneur and member of the “Buscando Prosperidad” rural savings bank in Yamaranguila, Intibucá, western Honduras. Through the RPSF, the bank took part in a digitalization campaign. The bank’s members share that through this campaign the service has become more efficient and transparent. Ana says that being a member of the bank has changed her life, allowing her to build a home far better than the one she used to live in. The RPSF is a short-term strategy that feeds into IFAD’s longer-term development objectives. It aims to improve the food security and resilience of poor rural people by supporting production, market access and employment and to accelerate their recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. |
