Jose Lindolfo Pérez Manueles is a farmer in Yamaranguila, western Honduras. On his land, he grows coffee, yucca, beans, corn, and other crops. He says that, before he became a member of the “Buscando Prosperidad” rural savings bank, working the land was difficult, but, thanks to the recanalization and improvement projects sponsored by the “Buscando Prosperidad” rural fund, he has seen a notable improvement in his finances.
The RPSF is a short-term strategy that feeds into IFAD’s longer-term development objectives. It aims to improve the food security and resilience of poor rural people by supporting production, market access and employment and to accelerate their recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
