At the artificial insemination centre at El Amreya, Alexandria, a special heifers are kept in hangers. The centre plays an important role in enhancing the reproduction of different herds. The centre was established under the West Nubariya project and currently is being managed by SAIL project. It is serving about 60% of the artificial insemination in Egypt. The aim of the SAIL project is to strengthen smallholder institutions, improve agricultural production and marketing, and build capacities for employment and enterprise development. |
