Description: |
In Ebrahim El Desouky Village, Nayerah Abdo Elsaid and Eslam Sobhey have benefited from the SAIL project through capacity-building training in aquaponics, a system through which waste produced by farmed fish is used to nourish the plants which are being grown hydroponically. They are using it to cultivate vegetables in the kitchen garden of their small home. The aim of the SAIL project is to strengthen smallholder institutions, improve agricultural production and marketing, and build capacities for employment and enterprise development. |
