Through the SAIL project, in the village of El Sayed El Badawy, women benefited from a grant which allowed them to purchase sewing machines. Madiha Abdel Raouf Amr, was one of the women who was able to purchase the sewing machine and has set-up a small dressmaking business. The aim of the SAIL project is to strengthen smallholder institutions, improve agricultural production and marketing, and build capacities for employment and enterprise development. |
