Title: Tunisia - Agropastoral Value Chains Project in the Governorate of Médenine (PRODEFIL) - July 2022
Description: Abdelmajid Dbouba, president of the Zed Elkhir cooperative, speaks with Dhaw Robii as his camels graze near Sidi Makhlouf, Medenine, Tunisia.

Dhaw Robii shepherds ten dairy camels for members of SMSA Zed Elhkir, a cooperative supported by PRODEFIL for the development of a value chain for camel milk.

Camel milk is a new product for local breeders. Dbouba explains, “It has a special property that differs from other types of milk. It can be used medically. And if we make good use of it, there’s no doubt that it will be beneficial for us. Our role is to provide [farmers] with profitable projects like this.”
