Title: Indonesia - The Development of Integrated Farming Systems in Upland Areas (UPLAND) – November 2022
Description: Hotimah, is one of the residents of Gardusayang village in Subang Regency, Indonesia’s West Java province. She says she has land worth ten red bricks long and does not participate in the plantation project.

She has four children: a daughter who has been working in Saudi Arabia for 25 years, a daughter living in Tangerang, as well as a daughter and a son living in Subang.

However, she said she did not truly benefit from the project. She is hoping for more financial support.

The aim of the Development of Integrated Farming Systems in Upland Areas (UPLAND) project is to reduce poverty and enhance food security in upland areas through remunerative, sustainable and resilient livelihoods. The target group of the project is smallholder men and women farmers, with a focus on youth.
