The restaurant is managed by Nour Omar Muhammad Banat and Hoda Muhammad Issa Balasih. It uses food grown in its garden and Nour's farms and is a source of employment as well. Mais works at Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), IFAD's local partner implementing their Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project (REGEP). Nour is a jordanian beneficiary from REGEP, she received an innovation grant of 9718€ from the project about a year ago and used it to create a new farm, powered by solar panels and using drip irrigation, currently one of the most efficient water and nutrient delivery system for growing crops. Chef Cracco's visit is part of IFAD's Recipes for Change program, aiming at finding common ground between people and culture accross the world through the food they eat while tackling climate change.
