Title: Nigeria - Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises, Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) – November 2023
Description: Garri produced from processed cassava root at the Cassava processing facility provided with rhe support of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises-Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) program in Obiogba, Oriowon, Edo State, Nigeria.
The facility is operated by incubatees who work on a voluntary, rotational basis one day per month under the supervision of an incubator as a part of the LIFE-ND training on cassava processing.

LIFE-ND aims to address the growing numbers of restive youth and lack of income-generating activities for women by developing their skills and sustainably enhancing incomes and food security, creating jobs for 25,500 rural young people and women (incubates) in the Niger Delta in southern Nigeria. In particular, LIFE-ND is changing mindsets by helping youth realize agriculture as a good business opportunity. The project will strengthen the capacity of government institutions to work with up to 600 established private-sector actors (incubators).
