In presence of Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Nigeria, Jo Puri, Associate Vice-President, Strategy and Knowledge Department at IFAD, João Bartolomeu da Cunha, Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock of Angola and Aurélien Lechevallier, Director General for Globalization, Culture, Education and International Development, Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Louise Baker, Managing Director of the Global Mechanism of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is moderateding a Dialogue on “IFAD and the Great Green Wall Initiative: Combating land degradation in the Sahel-Sahara region” during the fourth session of IFAD consultation for the 13th replenisment held in Paris. Co-hosted by France and Angola, consultations culminated in a two-day pledging session in Paris calling for increased investments in small-scale farmers and rural people across developing countries to tackle poverty, hunger and the climate crisis.
