Siduith Guillén Panaifo is a farmer and a member of the agricultural cooperative Allima Cacao. She has 4 children and, in addition to working on the farm she shares with her husband, she works in the Subproducts Area of the factory. For her, increasing her income to improve her family's quality of life is very important. She feels fortunate to be able to participate in the different stages of the process her product goes through. “As a woman and my husband's partner, I have the opportunity to work in the cooperative and transform our cocoa into chocolates, choco-tiles, macambo and everything we do to be able to improve our income.” The AGRIdigitalization project is an IFAD initiative aimed at strengthening farmers’ organizations. It had a business intervention model which included training services, webpage updating, documents and videos translation, and positioning of products on digital platforms outside of traditional commerce. The purpose was to develop and strengthen a support model for organizations to access new markets through e-commerce. |
