Siduith Guillén, Leslie Tapullima and Gening Tapullima, are a family of cocoa farmers, members of the Allima Cacao agricultural cooperative which brings together 400 families of small farmers in the Amazonian area of Chazuta, one hour from the province of Tarapoto, in the Peruvian region of San Martín. The AGRIdigitalization project is an IFAD initiative aimed at strengthening farmers’ organizations. It had a business intervention model which included training services, webpage updating, documents and videos translation, and positioning of products on digital platforms outside of traditional commerce. The purpose was to develop and strengthen a support model for organizations to access new markets through e-commerce. |
