| Description: | In places like Chojñacota, in the middle of the Bolivian altiplano, it is very common for families to organize themselves to prepare meals and share them together. This task is usually assigned to mothers, grandmothers and daughters. During the inauguration of the water pumping system using solar panels in the Chojñacota community, a project promoted by FIDA through Pro-Camelidos, the local women prepared marinated llama meat and served it accompanied by lettuce, tomato, onion and banana, all cooked in an oven powered by firewood from a bush called t'hola. |
